Q. I found your website through a search engine, but I'm not sure if your product is right for my particular application. What applications are your products used in?
A. The modular construction of our panels makes installation of our wire mesh partitions much easier than standard fencing products on the market. Additionally, the polyester powder-coat finish makes our cages attractive for uses in high traffic areas such as office sales floors, datacenters, and residential applications. This is proven by the wide variety of uses where you'll find our products:
Communications Industry: Data Centers, Co-location, Network, and Telephone providers use our cages to separate servers and networking equipment. Cell phone retailers use cages in their back rooms to protect their expensive inventory in small packages.
Residential: Architects specify our products and general contractors install them in high-rise condominiums and multi-family housing for a secure storage solution to be used by the tenants. Personal uses have also included aviary and reptile cages.
Manufacturing: Traditionally used for tool cribs, our panels and cages also provide area guarding for conveyors, robotics, machinery and in place of standard mezzanine guard rails.
Government and Military: Our wire mesh products are found in an endless number of applications including readiness storage lockers, recreational storage units for schools, equipment storage for fire and police stations, and temporary holding cells.
Retailers and Restaurants: Wire mesh enclosures off the sales floor provide secure storage for clothing, electronics, jewelry, cosmetics, wine, liquor or any high theft item. Also an affordable solution to separate lay-away or items waiting for pick-up. Wire mesh lockers also provide employees secure storage while providing visibility to prevent potential shrinkage from employee theft.
DEA Applications: Pharmaceutical and Government applications requiring secure storage of controlled substances can contact us directly as we offer a wire partition product with self closing doors that is designed to meet bonded warehouse applications and exceeds physical security class III, IV, and V controlled substances in 1301.72 code.
Warehousing, Office, the list goes on ...the need for security storage is everywhere!

Q. Can I install the panels and doors myself or do I need to hire professional installers?
A. All wire partition orders are shipped with detailed, yet easy-to-read, installation instructions. Also, all hardware and miscellaneous items are clearly marked for easy identification, and, for the more complicated installations we'll provide you with a computerized layout of your security cage to eliminate any guesswork. You will find that the modular design of our wire mesh products was intended to make installation easier than typical fencing. For example, hinged doors will arrive pre-hung on our 2180 Welded Wire Partition, taking steps out of the installation process.
Although you're welcome to hire an installer, most maintenance personnel can easily handle the installation with only a minimum of tools required. Keep in mind, we recommend two people to complete the assembly.
Q. How are the panels attached to the floor?
A. The security cage comprises of separate wire panels that are bolted to each other (as well as to line posts and corner posts where required). In the case of our 2180 Welded Wire and Ford Logan Woven Wire Partitions, the frames of each panel have legs that allow for 'sweep space', and affix to the floor using "base feet". Generally, the attaching floor is concrete and concrete anchors are inserted into the concrete. Anchors are not supplied, but we can help recommend types for your specific application.
Q. Do I really need a non-standard color, or is Machine Gray sufficient?
A. Machine gray is the industry, and our, standard. In many cases it is sufficient and in dirty or dusty environments it's even preferred due to its resistance to showing dirt (such as in a factory or in some warehouses). However, for a custom look, or to blend with existing décor and color schemes, one of our optional colors may be just what you're looking for. You may not need it - you may just want it! Keep in mind we can even match colors for an additional charge.
Q. I'm afraid that the security cage won't fit - my existing area has an 8' ceiling (exactly 8') - should I order an 8' or the 7' height?
A. When in doubt why not play it safe? Many floors/ceilings have irregular and inexact heights along their run and a variation of up to 2" or more are not uncommon - even on short walls. Unless you have a reasonable amount of clearance you should opt for the shorter height to ensure a smooth installation. If you're worried about access from the top (since the security cage is not flush with the ceiling) order the optional ceiling and you're covered! Use this same logic on wall lengths - when in doubt about fit, play it safe.
Q. I'm not sure if I want a hinged door or a sliding door - can you help?
A. Sometimes a sliding door is the only answer - like when you need a 4' door (and opening) but you don't have 4' of area available to "swing" a hinged door (maybe you have inventory stored on an ongoing basis right outside the door and it restricts your access). However, a hinged door offers many advantages - they're easier to close, have fewer moving parts (reducing maintenance), and are less expensive too!
Q. We've placed the order and we're anxious to receive it - how soon until it arrives?
A. For stock items we'll generally ship within two business days of receiving your order by 2:00 pm (Pacific Time Zone). All items ship from southern Indiana, and depending on your location will take between one and seven days to reach you by common carrier. In many cases you'll receive your order within a week! For non-stock, or non-standard items (such as colors) expect shipments to take up to two additional weeks. We do e-mail order confirmations and expected shipment information upon receipt of your wire mesh enclosure order to help you plan.
